- If you inform us that your insurance carrier requires preauthorization for physical therapy we will gladly contact them with any information that they may need.
- Electronically bill your insurance carrier on a weekly basis.
- Bill your insurance carrier with a copy of your chart notes and doctor referral if required by your insurance.
- Assist you with any problems you may have getting your claims paid by your insurance carrier.
- Distribute monthly patient financial statements for your records.
We will request that you pay your co-payment at each office visit to avoid you having to remit large co-payment balances.
As a courtesy to our patients, United Physical Therapy files primary insurance. We are Medicare and Medicaid Certified. We are also preferred providers for Blue Cross and Aetna.
Coverage for physical therapy varies depending on the type of insurance coverage you have. Some insurance companies require pre-certification, and some have a limit on the amount of physical therapy visits you may receive. It is always advisable to call your insurance company and find out the specific requirements regarding your coverage.
Before your visit to United Physical Therapy we recommend that you contact your insurance carrier to determine the specifics of your coverage. Typically, you should expect to pay your deductible if it has not yet been met, and any co-insurance or co-pays required by your insurance company. It is important to remember that your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company. United Physical Therapy will do all that it can to help you in receiving coverage for services rendered, but ultimately it is your responsibility.
